Celebrating our 72nd Season!

"The BEST shows... the BEST talent"

The variety of music and entertainment contained in this 72nd season of the Panama City Music Association includes a Broadway musical, an opera, a nationally-recognized Chicago Dance Company and more - all performed by world renowned artists!

The Addams Family, Broadway’s smash hit musical comedy, brings the deliriously delightful world of Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, Grandma, Wednesday, Pugsley and Lurch to spooky and spectacular life. Based on the bizarre and beloved family of characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams, The Addams Family features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family. A man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, she confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother.

Donizetti’s fanciful and intensely human comic opera Eliixir of Love (L’Ellisir D’ Amore) is vividly realized in the story of Dr. Dulcamara a travelling charlatan who turns a provincial village topsy-turvy. Dulcamara convinces young swain Belcori to purchase a love potion, the better to win the heart of the winsome Adina. One wacky situation leads to another, culminating in a joyous ensemble number. “Elixir” is Donizetti’s most frequently performed opera and was the lead opera in the current Metropolitan Opera’s current season. The Act 2 aria, Una furtiva lagrima, made famous by Luciano Pavorotti, is a show stopper.

Celebrated for creating vital connections between dancer and audience as well as presenting gutsy and entertaining repertoire, River North Dance Chicago presents dynamic jazz-based works that combine athletic prowess and artistic
perspective with bold, theatrical flair. The company also has a presence on the world stage traveling most recently to Germany and Switzerland on an 11-city tour as well as a 17-city tour throughout Russia in the Spring of 2012. “This is one sleek, confident, athletic, daring, versatile company.”-Chicago Sun-Times
